Order curtains are measured for your window, chosen in fabric and specification, then sewn one at a time. They take a few days, sometimes a few weeks. At the end of that time is something quiet and rare: the way a curtain looks when it truly fits the window.
Ready-made curtains
Mass-produced in a few standard sizes — 100 cm wide × 135, 178, 200 cm long, and so on. They're available on the spot, but the size rarely matches the window exactly; the hem falls short, or cold air slips through the sides.
Order curtains
Made to your measurements, to the centimetre. Bay windows, irregular shapes, and outsized panes are all accommodated. When the size is right, insulation, warmth, and light-blocking all improve at once.
Like clothing.

The number of pleats
decides how the drape reads.
The standard for order curtains is a generous 2× pleat, which uses twice the fabric of the flat width. Compared with the 1.5× pleats common in ready-made, the wave is deeper and more even. It's why a plain, unpatterned fabric can still feel considered.
The hem is a 10 cm triple-fold with weights sewn in, so its line falls straight to the floor. The tacks are stitched vertically. All of it made in domestic ateliers.
These small decisions, layered together, are what let a single panel hold its line for ten years.
